Announcement

Again a new blogger. What is the sense of that?

... Sorry we, European and Asian partners in water supply and sanitation sector, are so crazy, we have to do that. Is it possible for us to find new and interesting topics from our practice in the large field "Society - Climate Change - Resource Scarcity"?  Is it possible to generate from the comments new ideas for solutions in Europe and Asia?

Examples for possible topics:

Rice straw
As example - Vietnam is burning each year more than 20 million tons of rice straw on the field. What does mean that? Is that a total loss of large and unused resources or more a traditional and optimal fertilizing of paddy soil?

Climate Change - Sea Level Rising: What can say us the geological past?
The Caspian Sea threatened to silt up. But the sea level achieved its old position again before the authorities could start first activities after decades of waiting.

Or: Few scientists have underpressed some data in modeling of climate curve for the last 100,000 years. They would like pronounce the unique development of CO2 in atmosphere since the industrial revolution - the so-called "Hockeystick"-curve.

What is the link between both examples? Climate change was in all geological times and it shows a development in cycles. That means, the actually expected large impacts of climate change were to watch few times already in our past. What can we learn from the past for our todays activities?

Like that we plan to write our future blogs with applied and theoretical topics. We are looking forward to your future comments.
